More indoctrination in schools...
"Barak Hussein Obama said we should lend a hand to make this country great again...he said we must be fair today...equal work means equal pay"...Uh, ya this is messed up!
Here is some background on it:
Burlington, NJ – In a school district not too far away, children are being led in prayer and song to praise our glorious leader Barack Obama in a homegrown medley sung to the music of “Jesus Loves the Children”, repeatedly chanting praises to our President in a religiously cultish eerie manner. In the song the children chant ”Barack Hussein Obama He says equal work is equal pay”
Equal work for equal pay was a common theme for the 1940’s ”The Daily Worker”, which was the official newspaper of the Communist Party of Great Britain and has resonated since in socialist and communist political circles worldwide, now a Presidential slogan used frequently by President Obama.
What is more unnerving is the manner of indoctrination these children are being subjected to by school teachers using repetitive instruction to burn the image of Obama as a supreme being beyond the role of just being President of the United States in a fashion similar to those used by Stalinist Russian children and Hitler Youth of the 1940’s.
The school is the B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington, N.J. just 40 minutes southwest of Jackson. What do you think of children being taught to idolize and glorify President Obama? Would you approve of this song in Jackson’s Schools?

Socialist indoctrination in schools
I think the video speaks for itself, and the refutation of the video is excellent. What really concerns me things like this video is a "sleeper hit in classrooms across the nation." While this information should definitely be out there, I do hope that schools bother to show any sort of contrast. I have to give the guy HowTheWorldWorks who refuted points in "The Story of Stuff," he did a magnificent job. I am glad he made his refutation available for us all to see.
Based on this..."More than 7,000 schools, churches and others have ordered a DVD version, and hundreds of teachers have written Ms. Leonard to say they have assigned students to view it on the Web. It has also won support from independent groups that advise teachers on curriculum choices. Facing the Future, a curriculum developer for schools in all 50 states, is drafting lesson plans based on the video. And Ms. Leonard has a contract with Simon & Schuster to write a book based on the video"...I need to ask, are educators being responsible enough to show both sides of the story?
I take a wikipedia quote on Annie Leonard to summarize "The Story of Stuff"...Despite praise, the validity of the film has been debunked in the footnotes for the film itself.
Below is a NY times fluff story about this video, and where my quotes came from.

I commend Annie Leonard in her efforts to make Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin proud of her!

Democrats Target Bank Overdraft Charges
Bailed-Out Firms Lean More Heavily on Fees
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/09/20/AR2009092002879.html
I sent the following letter to the editor...
Dear Editor:
I find it quite humorous that Democrats in Congress are acting like Prince Valiant charging in to save a princess when it comes to their introduction of legislation pointed out in the 9/21 article "Democrats Target Bank Overdraft Charges." This is coming from Congress, which was involved in "rubbergate" in the early 90s. That was the House Banking Scandal netted a bunch of congressmen from both parties, the top 20 being Democrats. Fast forward to 2009, and we have Congress that could not manage their own overdraft problems telling banks what to do.
The nice thing about the free market is that if I do not like the services of one bank, I can do my business with a different bank. Also, it helps that consumers read the fine print of the contract when they open an account with their bank. Honestly, it just takes simple school learned math skills, and looking into getting overdraft protection from your bank. We do not need Congress legislating a smack down on banks, I think of rubbergate and grin at the irony.
*Not that I have any love for banks who were bailed out, but the ludicrousness exhibited by liberals in Congress crack me up.

Pelosi: I'm clueless about cash cut-off
By GEOFF EARLE and DAPHNE RETTER, Post Correspondents

WASHINGTON -- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said yesterday she is clueless about an amendment to prohibit government funds for embattled ACORN, although it overwhelmingly passed the Senate Monday and the White House is calling for the group to be held accountable.
"I don't even know what they passed," Pelosi told The Post yesterday. "What did they do? They defunded it?"
The amendment to suspend housing grants was a stunning blow to the community-activist group -- and came as some Democrats and the White House have been backing away from the group.
The vote was preceded by the release of videos by conservative activists posing as a pimp and prostitute soliciting -- and receiving -- tips from ACORN employees about how to shield income, avoid taxes and set up a brothel.
The issue now goes to a House-Senate conference committee for a spending bill. Its fate is up to Democratic leaders, particularly Pelosi, since the House passed no such provision.
Some fellow lawmakers were surprised that Pelosi wasn't following the issue.
"I think that she's not focused on the issue of corruption," said Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), who has been hammering ACORN.

The grasshopper and the ant
OLD VERSION:
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.
The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.
Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed.
The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Be responsible for yourself!
MODERN VERSION:
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.
The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.
Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving.
CBS, NBC , PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food. America is stunned by the sharp contrast.
How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so? Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper and everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green.'
Acorn stages a demonstration in front of the ant's house where the news stations film the group singing, 'We shall overcome.' Rev. Jeremiah Wright then has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper's sake.
Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid exclaim in an interview with Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.
Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer.
The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the Government Green Czar.
The story ends as we see the grasshopper finishing up the last bits of the ants food while the government house he is in, which just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around him because he doesn't maintain it.
The ant has disappeared in the snow.
The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the once peaceful neighborhood.

Remembering 9/11
9/11 National Day of Service...this is what our liberal Government has turned the most tragic day in my lifetime into.
Their fancy website explains what it is: http://www.911dayofservice.org/
On the site they claim their claim is to ultimately honor the victims of 9/11. Is it? Or this Government mandated day an attempt to sugar coat and skew history. I don't acknowledge this ridiculous fluff being associated with this tragedy. The context of 9/11 should ALWAYS be focused on the victims, their families, and catching those responsible for doing it.
I don't need crap like a National Day of Service to convince me to volunteer my time and money to causes I care about. I think what this Government did is disgusting. I do not like this politicizing of awful, tragic events.
I want to shout out to the "new media", those people who side step traditional media and "mainstream media" outlets who put together such wonderful works as above. I realize the internet has a lot of crap that needs to be sifted through, but even a simple youtube search will reveal wonderful multimedia pieces dedicated to the victims of 9/11. The second video I came across a few years after 9/11. I take time to watch it every year.
National Day of Service? What the hell is that? This is the same thing that comes from the liberals in government that is crying foul about the "abusive" treatment of terror suspects and whom seek appeasement with people who hate us. While I do need to omit Obama's recent policy to uphold some of the existing mandates of the previous administration, such as closing gitmo. To a certain extent, pandering to the extreme anti-war left apparently is not such a good thing. I do appreciate a few centrist things he attempts to do. For example, Obama's involvement with Matt Flavin as director of the new White House Office of Veterans and Wounded Warrior Policy is top notch.
The extreme left politicians in congress and the senate are another thing. Their feverish approach to find and prosecute things such as, "female interrogators tried to break Muslim detainees at the U.S. prison camp in Guantanamo Bay by sexual touching, wearing miniskirts and thong underwear and in one case smearing a Saudi man’s face with fake menstrual blood, according to an insider’s written account," precedes showing the struggle our military goes though on a daily basis, or any of the positive things they actually do. Reading the Army Times is vastly different to reading liberal blogs or some mainstream news sites. (Quote from http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6876549/) These liberals are virtually blame America first for all of the ills in the world, and we are the great oppressors. While historically it IS important to know the skeletons in the closet of hour history, these liberals see nothing good.
I was infuriated when that POS Rep. Jack Murtha's quick accusation that marines in Iraq has "killed innocent civilians in cold blood.” While it might have been a knee-jerk reaction, soldiers serving in a war zone do not need to hear a politician who is an ex-Marine himself say such incendiary remarks. The investigation of those allegations proved no cover up, but the damage to moral done by Murtha was already done.
There is a VAST difference between Democrats of the past versus liberals of today. Anti-military is inherently more noble and morally superior to pro-military to them (http://therawness.com/the-problem-with-democrats-the-progressive-liberal-moral-continuum/), and that itself is a huge problem. Woodrow Wilson was a Democrat who went into World War I. Franklin D. Roosevelt was a Democrat who drove the US to fight in World War II, and was responsible for the internment of the Japanese. While apologies were necessary for that, what I am pointing out here is how the Democratic party has changed vastly for the worse with the liberal mindset in the party. Roosevelt did what he had to do, and didn't put up with any crap with taking charge and utilizing American industry and man power.
With all of their appeasement, persecution of our own, and blame America first, I wonder if they even realize that those Islamic radical terrorists who attacked us on 9/11 hate them. They do not see Americans along the basis of color or political affiliation. They'd just assume since you are an American, you are an infidel and an enemy. I think that notion, and the acts of liberal attempts at the revisionist sugar coating of history, is what makes liberalism a dangerous and divisive thing in our country. 9/11 National Day of Service? Whatever.

ACORN fires 2 after hidden-camera footage aired
Sometimes Glen Beck is over the top and can be over sensational and exaggerate a lot. I got to admit he does have an entertaining and informative show. His ratings reflect his popularity, both positive and negative-but it brings people to viewing his show regardless. I do appreciate his efforts to bring down Van Jones, and his latest bombshell was just that.
This has to do with ACORN, this particular story is ACORN fires 2 after hidden-camera footage aired
http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D9AKORB81&show_article=1
Here is the video of it, this is the original from the creator.
Despite editing, or any spin any news organization tries to make with this, the ACORN employees own words implicate ACORN in a manner that is a complete shock to me. Their blatant violation of the law is a good example of this organization, and how corrupt they are at all levels. What is most shocking is their attitude towards underage prostitution and human trafficking. I hope the book gets thrown at ACORN. What concerns me is the Obama administration has close ties with ACORN. Just google their name and you can find many mainstream news articles on voter registration fraud and whistle blowers outing the disgusting criminal elements of ACORN.
What I found interesting was something that Glen Beck said, he said other media outlets are so sided they need to be dragged kicking and screaming to report stories that go against the Obama administration or anything associated with him. When I was watching CNN talk about the story this morning, I could really see what he meant. The angle was very minimal and vague, and they only reported what they had to on it. The images of the ACORN employees are blurred out (on Fox News story as well), but a simple internet search shows the actual video and gives the names of those loosers.
Here is is:
http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/09/10/acorn.prostitution/
For comparison sake, here the the Fox News one:
2 ACORN Employees Fired, Could Face Criminal Charges
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,549001,00.html
Also, what cracks me up is CNN's use of "those conservatives!", such as "...posted online Thursday by James O'Keefe, a conservative activist. He was joined on the video by another conservative, Hannah Giles." Oh no! Those conservative activists!
If one thing sticks out with both stories, it's the fox story mentioning the legal ramifications of the ACORN employees mentioned by Judge Andrew Napolitano, FOX News senior judicial analyst. I have heard Napolitano in many instances, and have become a fan of his analysis. Not in this instance, but in his general emphasis on constitutional validity and context he uses to frame various issues.
While I might be giving Beck some credit, I also need to include this about him. It's a great reminder to not adhere to EVERYTHING you watch or read :) John Stewart rocks!

South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson shouted "You lie"
When I was watching the address I wondered who yelled that. It was said when Obama was bringing up the point that health care legislation won't support illegal immigrants. South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson shouted "You lie" after Obama said extending health care to all Americans would not mean insuring illegal immigrants.
While Biden states the outburst has "demeaned the institution," and other legislatures have complained about it, "There'll be time enough to consider whether or not we ought to make it clear that that action is unacceptable in the House of Representatives," House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., said late Wednesday on WTOP radio when asked about possible punishment for Wilson. "I've talked to Republican members who share that view." In all honesty, it's politics as usual. Here are Dems booing Bush at State Of The Union address.

Healthcare-reform opponent says bit-off finger could not be re-attached

A healthcare-reform opponent whose finger was partially bitten off Wednesday during a Thousand Oaks rally said today that doctors could not re-attach the severed section.
William Rice, 65, of Newbury Park also confirmed reports that he threw the first punch in the confrontation that claimed part of his left pinky.
“When he got in my personal space, I popped him in the nose,” Rice said. “I felt like I had no choice other than to defend myself.”
The incident was reported at 7:26 p.m. Wednesday at Lynn Road and Hillcrest Drive, where more than 100 people gathered for a pro-healthcare reform vigil organized by Moveon.org.
About 15 people opposed to President Barack Obama’s proposed healthcare reform stood across the street from Moveon.org’s group. Members of Code Pink: Women for Peace also were there, authorities said.
The finger-biting incident occurred after Rice became involved in a heated discussion with a member of Code Pink, sheriff’s Capt. Ross Bonfiglio said.
After the argument, Rice returned to where his own group was standing. A man from Moveon.org’s area then walked over to the opponents and verbally confronted Rice, allegedly calling him names and acting aggressively, Bonfiglio said.
Rice later told investigators he felt threatened by the man and punched him in the nose, Bonfiglio said. The punch set off a fist fight between the two men, during which the tip of Rice’s left pinky finger was bitten off, Bonfiglio said.
Rice drove himself to Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center in Thousand Oaks. Another man found the bitten-off portion of the finger and brought it to Rice at the hospital, Bonfiglio said.
Doctors were not able to re-attach Rice’s finger.
Doctors told Rice the finger, severed near the second knuckle, would not survive because it had been cut by a human bite, he said in a phone interview today.
Rice said he did not initially plan to participate in any demonstration Wednesday. He was driving by the vigil when he spotted Code Pink members, and he stopped to see if they were protesting the military, he said. Rice has a son who is an officer in the Marine Corps.
After a brief conversation with Code Pink members, Rice said, he was satisfied they were not protesting the military. He was leaving when a man who seemed “deranged” approached and called him an “idiot,” he said.
Rice said he felt like the man had singled him out because he was the “easiest target.” But the incident happened quickly, he said, and he doesn’t clearly remember everything that preceded the altercation.
Scott Bush, 43, of Thousand Oaks said he was standing with Rice in the group opposed to healthcare reform when a man walked from the Moveon.org group across the street and over a traffic island toward them.
Bush said the man asked the group if they were for a public health insurer option, and they responded “no.” The man then singled out Rice and asked him why, according to Bush. When Rice responded that he didn’t want the government involved in anything, the man came to within 3 feet of Rice and yelled, “You’re an idiot,” Bush said.
Bush said Rice then hit the man in a defensive move. The man then pulled Rice into the street, according to Bush.
After a fight that lasted only a few seconds, Bush said, he heard Rice say, “He bit my finger off,” and he saw a stump.
Bush said he later found the roughly 1-inch piece of Rice’s finger next to the traffic island about 20 feet away.
The suspect fled the scene, authorities said. He was described as a short man with a medium build, wearing a blue cap, black shirt and black shorts. He remained at large this morning.
While who threw the first punch is not in dispute, much about what happened before and after remained unclear today, sheriff’s Detective Eric Buschow said.
Investigators had not determined, for example, if the man intended to bite off Rice’s finger, Buschow said.
Authorities did not consider the man a criminal suspect this morning and were not looking to arrest him, said the detective.
“We want him to come forward so we can talk to him. We want to hear his side,” Buschow said.

The Last of The Kennedy Dynasty
From an e-mail I received.
As soon as his cancer was detected, I noticed the immediate attempt
At the "canonization" of old Teddy Kennedy by the mainstream
Media. They are saying what a "great American" he is. I say,
let's get a couple things clear & not twist the facts to change the
Real history.
1. He was caught cheating at Harvard when he attended it. He was
Expelled twice, once for cheating on a test, and once for paying a
Classmate to cheat for him.
2. While expelled, Kennedy enlisted in the Army, but mistakenly
Signed up for four years instead of two. Oops! The man can't count
To four! His father, Joseph P. Kennedy, former U.S. Ambassador to
England (a step up from bootlegging liquor into the US from Canada
During prohibition), pulled the necessary strings to have his
Enlistment shortened to two years, and to ensure that he served in
Europe, not Korea , where a war was raging. No preferential
Treatment for him! (like the charge that President Bush received).
3. Kennedy was assigned to Paris , never advanced beyond the rank of
Private, and returned to Harvard upon being discharged. Imagine a
Person of his "education" NEVER advancing past the rank of Private!
4. While attending law school at the University of Virginia, he was
Cited for reckless driving four times, including once when he was
Clocked driving 90 miles per hour in a residential neighborhood
With his headlights off after dark.. Yet his Virginia driver's
License was never revoked. Coincidentally, he passed the bar exam
In 1959. Amazing!
5. In 1964, he was seriously injured in a plane crash and
Hospitalized for several months. Test results done by the hospital
At the time he was admitted had shown he was legally intoxicated.
The results of those tests remained a "state secret" until in the
1980's when the report was unsealed. Didn't hear about that from
The unbiased media, did we?
6. On July 19, 1969, Kennedy attended a party on Chappaquiddick
Island in Massachusetts. At about 11:00 PM, he borrowed his
Chauffeur's' keys to his Oldsmobile limousine and offered to give a
Ride home to Mary Jo Kopechne, a campaign worker. Leaving the
Island via an unlit bridge with no guard rail, Kennedy steered the
Car off the bridge, flipped, and into Poucha Pond.
7. He swam to shore and walked back to the party passing several
Houses and a fire station. Two friends then returned with him to
The scene of the accident. According to their later testimony,
They told him what he already knew - that he was required by law to
Immediately report the accident to the authorities. Instead
Kennedy made his way to his hotel, called his lawyer, and went to
Sleep. Kennedy called the police the next morning and by then the
Wreck had already been discovered. Before dying Kopechne had
Scratched at the upholstered floor above her head in the upside-
Down car. The Kennedy family began "calling in favors", ensuring
That any inquiry would be contained. Her corpse was whisked out-of-
State to her family before an autopsy could be conducted.
Further details are uncertain, but after the accident Kennedy says
He repeatedly dove under the water trying to rescue Kopechne and he
Didn't call police because he was in a state of shock. It is
Widely assumed Kennedy was drunk, and he held off calling police in
Hopes that his family could fix the problem overnight. Since the
Accident Kennedy's "political enemies" have referred to him as the
distinguished Senator from Chappaquiddick. He pleaded guilty to
Leaving the scene of an accident, and was given a SUSPENDED
SENTENCE OF TWO MONTHS.
Kopechne's family received a small payout from the Kennedy's
Insurance policy and never sued. There was later an effort to have
Her body exhumed and autopsied, but her family successfully fought
Against this in court, and Kennedy's family paid their attorney's
Bills.... A "token of friendship"?
8. Kennedy has held his Senate seat for more than forty years, but
Considering his longevity, his accomplishments seem scant. He
Authored or argued for legislation that ensured a variety of civil
Rights, increased the minimum wage in 1981, made access to health
Care easier for the indigent, funded Meals on Wheels for fixed-
Income seniors, and is widely held as the "standard-bearer for
Liberalism". In his very first Senate roll he was the floor
Manager for the bill that turned U.S.Immigration policy upside down
and opened the floodgate for Immigrants from third world countries.
9. Since that time, he has been the prime instigator and author of
Every expansion of an increase in immigration up to and including
The latest attempt to grant amnesty to illegal aliens. Not to
Mention the pious grilling he gave the last two Supreme Court
Nominees, as if he was the standard bearer for the nation in
matters of what’s right. What a pompous ass!
10. He is known around Washington as a public drunk, loud,
boisterous, and very disrespectful to ladies. JERK is a better
description than "great American". "A blond in every pond" is his
motto.

I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama
I seriously doubt Hollywood actors will live up to their "pledges," sad bit-o-lefty propaganda though. It was almost as bad as seeing the those Halliburton PR commercials after they got a bad rap after the Iraq invasion.
A school principal has apologized for showing a video at an assembly that a politically conservative group leader is calling “radical, leftist propaganda.”
Children at Eagle Bay Elementary School in Farmington were shown a short video called “I pledge” on Aug. 28. The video opens with an image of President Barack Obama and part of a speech in which he says, “Let us summon a new spirit of patriotism, of responsibility where each of us resolves to pitch in and work harder and look after not only ourselves but each other.” The video then features celebrities making pledges about how they will help the president and the world — and that’s where some say the problem lies…
… Gayle Ruzicka, president of conservative Utah Eagle Forum, said the video was blatantly political. She said other offensive pledges included, “I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama,” “I pledge allegiance to the funk, to the united funk of funkadelica,” and pledges to not use plastic grocery bags and not flush the toilet after urinating.
“It’s very inappropriate to show a radical, leftist propaganda piece that political to children,” Ruzicka said. “If parents want their children to learn about those things and do them in the home, wonderful, fine, but it’s not the place of the school to show a one-sided propaganda piece to children without parents knowing about it.”
Cieslewicz said such values should be decided in the home, not at school.
